Lokonova AI products including Career Growth AI Copilot are operated by Lokonova AI (PTY) Ltd, registered in Lesotho. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data.

2. What we collect

• Account data: email address, name, country, job title (provided at signup or in your profile).
• CV files: PDF or DOCX files you upload. We extract and store the text content for AI analysis.
• Job descriptions: text you paste for matching, cover letters, and CV rewrites.
• Usage data: feature usage counts and AI token consumption for billing and limits.
• Payment data: processed exclusively by Paddle.com. We do not store credit card details.

3. How we use your data

• To provide the Service: AI analysis, career tools, and personalised feedback.
• To enforce usage limits and manage your subscription.
• To improve the Service (aggregated, anonymised analytics only).

4. Third-party processors

• Supabase: database, authentication, and file storage (hosted in the cloud).
• OpenAI: CV text and job descriptions are sent to OpenAI for AI analysis. OpenAI does not use API data for training.
• Paddle.com: payment processing, invoicing, and tax compliance as Merchant of Record.
• Vercel: application hosting.

5. Data retention

Your data is retained while your account is active. You may delete your account and all associated data by contacting support@lokonova.ai.

6. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. South African users are protected under POPIA (Protection of Personal Information Act). Contact us at any time to exercise these rights.

7. Security

We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (TLS), row-level security in our database, and secure authentication via Supabase Auth.

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
